A gift for Hallowell 1964

Trail Markers — Two signs designating the entrance to Hallowell have been donated to the city by the KVAA and will be erected on the Augusta-Hallowell line and the Farmingdale-Hallowell line. The lettering reflects the settlement of 1762. The signs were designed and constructed by Bel-Art Studio. The wrought iron scroll work was donated by Mrs. Langdon P. Marvin and came from an old sign designating the Litchfield road which was once erected near the Cascade. The presentation was made Monday by Linwood Partridge, president, at right, and was accepted by Mayor Raymond M. Rideout Jr.
