April ArtTalk: Kenny Cole and Natasha Mayers

Kenny Cole and Natasha Mayers will be giving an artist’s talk April 12 at 7pm, at the Harlow Gallery in Hallowell, detailing the history and processes behind UMVA’s ongoing Draw-A-Thons, Draw-Ins, Print-A-Thons and Art-A-Thons, all of which have been staged to help engender creative visuals in support of the Bring Our War Dollars Home and Occupy movements.

Occupy Art! Union of Maine Visual Artists in Action is on exhibit at the Harlow Gallery the month of April. The exhibit features art and artifacts created through efforts of the Union of Maine Visual Artists (UMVA) to organize and create imagery around economic and social justice issues over the past two years. Participating artists include participants in a January Draw-A-Thon at the Harlow Gallery, and UMVA artists Rob Shetterly, Brian Reeves, Kenny Cole, Nora Tryon, Natasha Mayers, and many others.
