Call for Maine Artists & Artisans:

Marketplace at Augusta Fair April 30 and May 1, 2016

Our Art & Artisan Fair presented in partnership with the Marketplace at Augusta will return this spring in a larger space. This two day artist and artisan fair is scheduled for Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1, 2016.  Maine creatives will be showcased in the in The Marketplace at Augusta, in the same area as Barnes & Noble from 10am-4pm each day. The set up time is 8-10am on Saturday, April 30th.

Sponsored by The Marketplace at Augusta, the Art & Artisans Fair will be advertised to the public via print and radio ads, social media, signage, invitation cards and more.

Criteria: This event is open to all Maine fine artists, artisans, craftspeople, photographers and printmakers, designers of furniture, clothing, jewelry and more, including local food producers, and is limited to work created or produced by the exhibitor – no vendors please.  

Application and jury process:

  • Spaces are up to 10’x10’ in size, will be allocated via a jury process, and MUST be paid for by Friday, April 15, 2016.
  • The deadline to submit applications and jury fee payment is the end of the business day on Monday, April 4, 2016.
  • Applicants will be notified if they have been accepted or declined by the end of the business day on Friday, April 8, 2016.
  • All applicants must submit a $10 jury fee. WAIVED
  • Accepted applicants must submit a booth fee of $60 (non-members) or $50 (members).You may join the Harlow Gallery as an artist member when you register to take advantage of the lower registration fee. The cost is the same whether you choose to participate one or both days.

The Kennebec Valley Art Association (KVAA) is a 501(c)3 membership based non-profit that has been connecting and celebrating art, artists and community in central Maine for over half a century. The KVAA owns and operates the Harlow Gallery in downtown Hallowell.

To submit your work for consideration: copy and paste the following into an email, fill in all lines, attach the required jpg images and send it to the Harlow Gallery at, or mail or hand deliver to: Harlow Gallery, 160 Water Street, Hallowell, ME 04347.

  • I have tried to print a application in order to send in to be a part of the fair but I been haven’t issues, below is my email hopefully u can send me an application so I can return it for the different events.
