As an artist born and raised in Maine, it is very easy to see the influence of Maine’s culture, industry, and natural beauty in my work. I am an active visual artist in my region, the midcoast, and show regularly in invitational, group, and solo exhibitions. A professional graphic artist and educator, I have taught fine arts and new media courses in arts centers, professional workshops, and colleges. In 2018 I founded Render, a design and publication company dedicated to meeting the needs of small business and nonprofits. My art reflects a strong sense of place and and an inclination to value what others have discarded and left behind. Human relations with the environment often serve as a point of departure in my work, and abandoned spaces and post-industrial detritus are common elements. I live in Appleton, Maine with my wife and two daughters.
