Harlow Gallery artist members are invited to participate in our upcoming Artists’ Archives Sale which runs from November 17 through December 24, 2017 at 100 Water Street in Hallowell. The purpose of this sale is two fold: first, to give artists a chance to pass on older artworks from their archives for lowered prices; and second, to provide an opportunity to sell print reproductions – which the Harlow Gallery typically does not allow in other exhibitions.
This sale will take place in the lower gallery at our 100 Water Street location. The Holiday Pottery Shop, a program run by Central Maine Clay Artists, will be set up upstairs. Open hours for both the Artists’ Archive Sale and the Holiday Pottery Shop are: November 17-19 and November 24 – December 24, 10-6 daily.
Each artist is allowed up to 2 bins/containers of 2-dimensional artworks.
The total space taken up by the collective bins must not exceed 2 ft in depth or length. Bin/container can be any height.
There is no limit on how many pieces of art can be in the bin.
All items must be your own artwork.
You must provide your own bin/container.
LABELING & PRESENTATION:
The bin(s) must be labeled on the back/bottom with: artist name, email, phone, and address.
All work must be backed with foamcore or cardboard. (No floppy art, please.)
All work must be shrinkwrapped or bagged in plastic.
Each item must be individually labeled with: artist name, title, media, price.
Artwork must be for sale for at least $5 per item.
All sales are subject to a 35% commission to support gallery programming.
Art delivery: Tuesday, November 14th 11am-1pm or Thursday, November 16th 4-6pm or make an appointment before November 30th.
Open Hours: November 17-19 and November 24 – December 24, 10-6 daily.
