Call for Art: Holiday Members’ Show & Sale

Harlow Gallery artist members are invited to submit one piece of art for the Annual Holiday Members’ Art Show and Sale which is on view December 20, 2017 – January 20, 2018 at the Harlow Gallery at 160 Water Street (the old building, not the new building). Patrons can buy work off the wall and take it home the same day. If your work is sold we’ll call you and you can bring in new work to replace the one that sold! All two dimensional media welcome including but not limited to: painting, drawing, printmaking, encaustic, and mixed media. We also welcome three dimensional media including but not limited to: fiberarts, pottery, glass work, woodworking, metal, and other mixed media. One work of art per member.

Member’s shows are very popular – we usually receive up to 100 works, which is quite a challenging number to hang. So even though we love large format art, member’s shows just are not the place for it.

We have instituted a size limitation as follows for 2 dimensional work: Wall hung work should not exceed 18″x 24″ including the frame (or a total of 432 square inches for non- standard support sizes). Larger work will be accepted, but if there is a space problem oversize work will be the first to be cut. In other words, if you choose to bring in over-sized work we cannot guarantee you a spot in the show. Sculpture just needs to fit through the door already assembled.

To save time, please download and print the exhibition entry form, fill it out and bring it with you when you deliver your artwork to the gallery. We will have copies available at drop off also. CLICK HERE FOR ENTRY FORM

WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING BIN WORK FOR THIS SHOW. If you have work for the bins we encourage you to participate in our Artists’ Archives Sale at our 100 Water Street location. Delivery deadline is November 30th.

Art delivery: Sunday, December 17, 12-4pm  to 160 Water Street (the old Harlow, not the new building)

Opening reception/Holiday party: Friday, December 22, 5-7pm. (potluck – Please bring a dish or beverage to share)
On view December 20, 2017 – January 20, 2018
Pick up unsold work: Sunday, January 21, 12-4pm.

Are you a current artist member planning to participate? We need images of your work to promote the show. Please send a jpeg file no smaller than 1MB to (Please include name, title, and media.) Images due December 1 for consideration for the exhibition postcard.
