Back by popular demand: “Learning to Draw the Natural Way ”, a 6 week drawing class at the Harlow Gallery. This class, weather permitting, will spend some time drawing outdoors in scenic downtown historic Hallowell! No prior drawing experience necessary!
Dates: Wednesday evenings starting August 13, 2008 and running for 6 weeks

Tuition: $72 for members of the KVAA and $90 for all others.
The Kennebec Valley Art Association presents a six-week drawing class on “Learning to Draw the Natural Way” with multi-talented artist Dave Peloquin.Peloquin teaches drawing based on the ideas and techniques of Kimon Nicholaides, who taught that learning to draw is really a matter of learning to see.Through deep observation and natural drawing techniques, students will find the confidence to approach any subject they wish to draw:landscape, figure, portrait or still life.
The workshop will take place Wednesday evenings at 6pm starting August 13 and ending September 17.Tuition is $72 for members of the Kennebec Valley Art Association and $90 for non-members, payable on the first day of class.All are welcome and no experience is necessary!Space is limited, please call the Harlow Gallery at 622-3813 to register for the class.
The instructor, Dave Peloquin is a lifelong artist who studied art at Swain School of Design, and drawing with Gene Tonoff.Peloquin has worked professionally in fine art, illustration, television, and commercial design.He is also a published author, recording artist and touring folk musician.
