Join local artist and art educator Helene Farrar for a positive and engaging 5 week course in exploring the basics of drawing. These are beginner friendly classes, open to all levels, taught in a relaxed environment with lots of opportunity for one on one instruction and questions. Students will be introduced to a variety of technical and conceptual approaches to develop and strengthen skills. Helene will guide students through translating a 3-dimensional form into 2-dimensional image. Students should bring a 6×8 (or bigger) plain paper sketchbook and drawing pencils varying from #2 to #5. All other materials are provided. In these classes, students will see how the act of drawing is a form of meditation and an opportunity to communicate.
