Figure Drawing

Figure Drawing Group | most Sundays 7-9 pm

Serious artists welcome to draw from the human figure. Beginners welcome. There is no instruction, just the opportunity to draw with fellow artists.

Artists’ fee of $8 goes towards model fees and gallery upkeep.

Arrive before 7 pm, allowing yourself time to set up; the doors are locked at 7 pm sharp. Chairs available, but no easels. Session may not run on a holiday weekend – CALL AHEAD if you are unsure!

Artists – and models – may contact Penny at

We have had a life drawing group at the Harlow for more than 20 years. For a good part of that time it has been organized by Joe Klofas. Joe has retired from teaching at Gardiner High School and now lives full time in Bridgton, so we have lost one very constant participant. Sandra Stanton and Penny Markley are currently managing the group. We have some wonderful models, but not enough participants to pay our way.
Sometimes we have had only two people participating. If several people could make a commitment to come to life drawing at least twice a month then we would have enough to keep going.
If you’d like to advocate for continuing life drawing please contact Penny at
If there is an evening that would work better, please let us know.

  2. My grandson is 14 years old and would like to get him some lessons in drawing, wondering if you offer them?

  3. Hi Pat, We sometimes do classes here and are planning to do more in the new year. Keep an eye on our 2nd Sunday series for things your grandson might be interested in, we have all types of hands on art experiences for all ages. For lessons on an ongoing basis we highly recommend Helene Farrar in Manchester. Visit her online here: — Deb Fahy
