Fine Print: Text-Inspired Art Exhibit

44 Maine artists are featured in Fine Print, showing how their work is inspired by or integrates typography, script or text. The exhibition is on view September 9 – October, 2016 with an opening reception on Friday, September 9, from 5-8pm.

In Fine Print, Maine artists responded to a call for art showing how their work is inspired by or integrates typography, script or text. (Submission for this show has closed.) 61 works by 44 artists were selected out of a total of 131 works submitted by 50 artists. Fine Print celebrates the range of ways in which artists are incorporating text into their art; from abstract methods to more traditional techniques. The public is invited to attend the opening reception and meet the artists on Friday, September 9 from 5-8pm. The exhibition is on view September 9 – October 22, 2016. Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public.
