This picture of Miss Dorothy Woodcock and Mrs Emery Beane Jr preparing for the Harlow Gallery’s very first show in November of 1963 ran in the Kennebec Journal 50 years ago. Both women lived in Augusta at the time.

The Harlow Gallery is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its founding in November with a special Golden Anniversary exhibition featuring a mix of artwork by members past and present.

The Golden Anniversary Art Show & Sale opened with a public reception on Friday, November 1st from 5-8pm at the Harlow Gallery, located at 160 Water Street in downtown Hallowell.
