For the month of July the Harlow Gallery presents Hallowell through History, featuring work by member artists of the Kennebec Valley Art Association on the subject of Hallowell, past and present, on view  July 6-28, 2012.  Hours at the Harlow Gallery are Wednesday-Saturday, noon to 6pm.
The public is invited to the opening celebration of  Hallowell through History  on Friday, July 6th from 5-8pm also opening that night will be  Bill Duffy’s  photographic portrait series Model Citizens, on display in the gallery windows).  The opening is  free and open to the public and refreshments will be available.   Come meet the artists!
The Artists of Hallowell has been made possible through the generous financial support of Hallowell’s all volunteer 250th Anniversary Committee.  The Harlow Gallery’s 2012 exhibition season has been made possible by season sponsors the Bank of Maine, the City of HallowellDead River Company and Kennebec Savings Bank.
The Harlow Gallery is owned, directed and supported by the Kennebec Valley Art Association (KVAA), a membership based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1959. The KVAA supports the artistic development of our member artists, both amateur and professional, by providing opportunities for exhibition and other professional development at the Harlow Gallery. These include art exhibitions, workshops, lectures, demonstrations and other special events.

  2. Not at all Janet! Drop off dates for Hallowell through History are this Saturday, June 30th from 6-8pm and Monday, July 2nd from 10am-2pm.

  3. I plan to bring in my Hallowell painting tomorrow, will you be accepting in th late morning? My painting is of Boyntons. A painting that has been hanging in a friends home. she is letting me borrow it for the show.
    i worte down the hours of accepting paintings in a” safe place” and of course cannot find it.

  4. Hi Ruth, Drop off is going on right now – Monday, July 2nd 10am-2pm; we are hanging the show tonight. Can you make it in before 5pm? (I’ll be here until then. –Deb
