Paintings by Harlow Tuesday Group at 45 Memorial Circle

The Kennebec Valley Art Association invites the public to visit the lobby gallery at 45 Memorial Circle in Augusta to enjoy the work of six local artists who often paint together throughout the year.  The artists include Penny Markley of Winthrop, Elizabeth Budd of Litchfield, Kay Morris of West Gardiner, Anita Morrissey of Sidney, Judith Schuppien of Pittston, and Pamela Hetherly of Mount Vernon.
The group paints together on Tuesday mornings at the Harlow Gallery in Hallowell and sometimes out and about town, and refer to themselves as the Tuesday Group. On view from February 11 through April 5, 2013, the installation is open 9am-9pm daily, can be viewed from outside the building, and is lit at night.

Two Horses by Elizabeth Budd

Elizabeth Budd has been painting for a number of years, occasionally exhibiting at the Harlow Gallery and other local places.  Her favorite subjects include rural landscapes of ponds, streams, fields, forests and farmhouses; often of family property in Litchfield, a farm and orchard that has been in her family for several generations.

Winter Porch by Kay Morris

Kay Morris is a realist/impressionist painter of watercolors, doing a variety of subject matter, including Maine scenes and still life. Currently she is showing her work at the Kennebec River Artisan Shop in Hallowell.

Wolfs Neck Shadows by Anita Morrissey

Anita Morrissey has been painting locally for over twenty years and has shown in several venues in the Kennebec Valley.  Her works often reflect the natural world in her impressionistic style, and can be viewed on the Harlow Gallery website.

Rachel Carson Salt Pond by Judith Schuppien

Judith Schuppien is an oil painter working in a contemporary impressionist style.  More of her work may be seen at ArtDogs in Gardiner, where she has a studio, and at Camden Falls Gallery in Camden.

Blue Vest by Pamela Hetherly

Pamela Hetherly will paint anything that grabs her attention, using rich color and contrasting values.  She will be showing at Slate’s in Hallowell in April, at Art Space Gallery in Rockland this summer, and her work can be viewed on her website
