Intro to Abstract Art Workshop 1/25/20

SATURDAY, JANUARY 25, 10AM-1PM, 2020
Registrations are due by 6pm on Wednesday, January 22.

Curious about learning how to make abstract art? Join us for an introductory class with local artist and educator Rachael Wilson and get inspired by our exhibition which features abstract paintings by Keri Kumura. The workshop will cover topics such as: abstract art vs. non-objective art, the elements of art, principals of design, effects of color, types of composition, and examples such as Kindinsky, Alexander Rodchenko, Alexander Calder, Picasso, and others. This workshop will be hands on and students will be able to create and take home their own piece of original abstract art. It will be a small class, limited to 10 participants with lots of opportunity for one on one instruction and questions.

This workshop requires at least 3 students in order to run so sign up early in order and reserve your space.
Registrations are due by 6pm on Wednesday, January 22.
