SUNDAY, APRIL 7, 4-6PM
In conjunction with our current shows, True to Life and Joe Klofas’ Solo Exhibition, join us for an introductory figure drawing workshop, lead by Sandra Stanton. This class is designed especially for those who do not have much experience working from a model and would like to learn more. As participants are working from the model, we will discuss the basics of figure drawing including gesture, simple shapes, the center of gravity, and proportion. The model will take a variety of poses in the 2 hour time period beginning with short poses and working up to a 20 minute pose at the end. This will be a small group allowing for everyone to receive individual instruction as they work from the model. Suggested materials: 11”x14” Sketch pad or larger, medium soft to soft pencils (B, 2B, 4B), kneaded eraser, pencil sharpener.
Tuition: Members $25, Non-Members $30.
Ages 18 and up.
Class size limited to 10 participants.
Register today by calling 207-622-3813 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Participants are invited to return for the uninstructed figure drawing session with a longer pose which runs 7-9pm later that evening. (The Harlow hosts figure drawing sessions every Sunday from 7-9pm. Learn more HERE.) The tuition fee will cover the introductory workshop session.
