On Thursday, July 15th from 7-8pm, the Harlow Gallery of Hallowell presents artist/illustrator Jeannie Brett as July’s ArtTalk speaker. Jeannie illustrates children’s books published by Sleeping Bear Press and is currently working on a book about a Maine coon cat.
Jeannie lives on the coast of Maine with her family, a horse named Bailey, her dog Cali, and two wonderful cats: Tortellini and her newest addition, a Maine coon cat named Trout. You can read more about her work at www.jeanniebrett.com and meet her in person on July 15th. Your $3 suggested donation at the door supports arts programming at the Harlow. The Harlow Gallery is grateful to the Savings Bank of Maine for sponsoring our 2010 ArtTalk series.
Jeannie Brett enjoys visiting schools to share her enthusiasm for illustrating (and animals and nature and books!) with children. Jeannie has always lived near the ocean of New England and loves her family, animals, the great outdoors and Maine. She attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and the Minneapolis College of Art Design and has worked as a designer and commercial illustrator for advertising agencies and educational publishers.
