On June 10, from 7 – 8 p.m., Carlton Plummer A.W.S. will give a gallery talk entitled “Transitioning through 50 years of Painting”. With Plummer’s retrospective on the walls of the Harlow Gallery around him, this ArtTalk promises be a unique look back at the life and work of a nationally known artist. Suggested donation $3 supports arts programming at the Harlow Gallery. The monthly ArtTalk series at the Harlow has been made possible by a generous donation by Savings Bank of Maine.
Plummer’s paintings have been widely published in numerous art books and art magazines. His work can be seen in galleries, museums, corporate and private collections throughout the United States and abroad. Plummer maintains studios in East Boothbay, Maine and in Tequesta, Florida with his wife, artist Joan Plummer.
In June the Kennebec Valley Art Association is delighted to welcome Carlton Plummer A.W.S. back to the Harlow Gallery — after four decades. Plummer had his first one-man show at the Harlow Gallery back in the 1960s, and is returning to the Harlow Gallery in June with a month long retrospective art exhibit. Plummer’s Retrospective Survey of 50 Years of Painting will be on view at the Harlow Gallery June 4-27, 2010.
