Kennebec Art Association Exhibits in Senate President’s Office

35 works by members of the Kennebec Valley Art Association are currently on display at the Maine State House.Paintings, photographs and scupture are on exhibit in the offices of Maine Senate President Beth Edmonds from May 15 to June 19, 2008.The work by this varied group of artists spans many styles and media. Participating artists include Deborah Arter, Gayle Barigar, Svetlana Beattie, Linda Brouillard, Sandra Dunn, Steven Dunn, Hélène Farrar, Phyllis Hartzler, Lori Kaley, Dorothy Knopf, Judith Krishik, Marcel LaRue, Keith Leavitt, Catherine LeRoy, Juanita Longwell, Jeffrey Mann, Penny Markley, Brendan McInerney, James McKendry, Kay Morris, Anita Morrissey, Linda Murray, Cynthia Norton, Chris Noyes, Petra Noyes, Ian Orman, Kathleen Perelka, Peter Precourt, Caroline Putnam, Jamie Ribisi-Braley, Sheila Richardson, Richard Rose, Jym St.Pierre, Janet Washburn and Elizabeth Webber-Budd.

Senate president Edmonds said:“There are so many talented folks who choose Maine to be their home.”She added: “All this artwork shows us the creative economy is continuing to grow in our area.I’m impressed by the extent of great work we have here today”.The works are also on display in the Senate Majority Office.The public is encouraged to see the display in the President Beth Edmond’s Office, Room 328 or the Senate Majority Office, Room 320.For information about open hours please call 287-1500.
