Area artists are invited to the Harlow Gallery at 160 Water Street in Hallowell for a brown bag lunch workshop presented by the Maine Arts Commission on Wednesday, August 14 from 11am to 1pm.
This workshop is free and open to the public, but space is limited so we are requesting an RSVP. Please call 622-3813 or email email@example.com to register. Pack a lunch or come early and pick up something at one of Hallowell’s fine eateries. Give us a call at the Harlow if you need some suggestions – 622-3813.
Maine Arts Commission Executive Director Julie Richard will provide an update on current and future agency initiatives that benefit all members of the cultural community. Senior Grants Director Kathy Ann Shaw will provide insight into grant writing and present an overview of agency grant programs.
Followed by the rare opportunity to hear about how the Affordable Health Care Act can provide health insurance for artists. Staff from Maine Community Health Options will be on hand to explain and help participants navigate the new law.
If you can’t make this date, the presentation is taking place the following day at Maine Alliance for Arts Education in Bath, from 5 to 7 pm on August 15, 2013 at the Davenport Building (at the intersection of Front and Center Streets), Bath, Maine.
