The Kennebec Valley Art Association (KVAA) recently received a $2,000 from the Margaret E. Burnham Charitable Trust to sustain and develop an expanded art workshop program to educate and enrich the public.
“Our new Saturday morning workshop series launched last spring in our new larger space,” said Harlow executive director Deb Fahy, “We believe the arts are an important part of a well-rounded, vibrant community. The new workshop series offers everybody the opportunity to engage in creative expression and learn new skills to enrich their lives. You don’t have to be a professional artist to make art, and the act of creating art provides personal satisfaction, joy and a sense of purpose. Our workshop program also provides The Harlow with a reliable new income stream and help us support area teaching artists.”
