Harlow Gallery artist members are invited to submit one piece of art for the annual Holiday Members’ Show and Sale. Patrons can buy work off the wall and take it home the same day. If your work is sold we’ll call you and you can bring in new work to replace the one that sold!  All media welcome, including painting, drawing, printmaking, fiberarts, photography, sculpture and fine craft.  One work of art per member.  

 ➡  Member’s shows are very popular –  we currently receive about  100 works, which was quite a challenging number to hang.  So even though we love large format art, member’s shows just aren’t the place for it — we have instituted a size limitation as follows for 2 dimensional work (sculpture just needs to fit through the door):  Wall hung work should not exceed 18″x 24″ including the frame(or a total of 432 square inches for non- standard support sizes). Larger work will be accepted, but if there is a space problem oversize work will be the first to be cut. In other words, if you choose to bring in over-sized work we cannot guarantee you a spot in the show.
Please read our members’ show guidelines before submitting your work.  The exhibition committee reserves the right to reject work that does not meet the guidelines.

 To save time, please download and print the exhibition entry form,  fill it out and bring it with you when you deliver your artwork to the gallery. We will have copies available at drop off also.


During members’ shows, current members may submit up to 2 pieces of original 2 dimensional work (no reproductions or giclee prints). Paper work should be matted or mounted on board,  and shrink wrapped or bagged in mylar bags, and no larger than 18″ x 24″.   We have added a second bin for unframed work on canvas or panel, which must be no larger than 16″ x 20″.  Submission limit is 2 per artist not 2 per bin.  Your work must  be labeled on the back with the following information: artist’s name, title, media and price (price to include Harlow 35% commission). Unsold work must be picked up at the same time as the work in the members’ show.

Sunday, December 13, 11am-1:30 pm – first day to drop off artwork  (ONE PER ARTIST, any media) & bin work. Please do not arrive after 1:30pm, we’ll need time to set up for a 2pm event in the gallery.
Monday, December 14 from 2-6pm – 2nd day to drop off artwork  (ONE PER ARTIST, any media) & bin work
Potluck opening on Friday, December 18, 5-8pm – please bring a dish or beverage to share!
Exhibition runs December 18, 2014 – January 16, 2015

  • RE: Bin work…I plan to join and would like to know the size limit of the 3rd dimension of bin work on canvas. Must be flat canvas panels/boards right? Thank you.

    • We have new guidelines Leecia, some canvases may be fine. Call Aleana at the gallery for details.
