Professional Development Workshop: MAC Info Session

The Harlow Gallery is launching a quarterly series of professional development opportunities for artists.  In the tradition of connecting and celebrating art, artists and community, we are offering events aimed at meeting the developmental needs of working artists.  
 
To kick off the 2017 Professional Development Workshop Series, Kerstin Gilg of the Maine Arts Commission (MAC) will speak about the Maine Arts Commission and the supports they offer to artists on Sunday, January 15th, from 2-3pm. join us for a 30-40 minute presentation followed by Q & A. Learn and inquire about supports, grants and opportunities for artists.  Bring your notebook and questions!

  • This sounds great. I would like to see a a talk on pricing, and taxation. How professional artists handle the business end of the work. I’ve heard formulas like time + media + ? = $.

    • Hi Holly, I agree! hopefully one of our future events in the Professional Development Series will include something along those lines. Additionally, I wanted to let you know about a business workshop through MCA for artists held in October.
