Stories of Hallowell

We are excited to announce a very special ArtTalk for July in celebration of Hallowell’s 250th anniversary year!

On Thursday, July 12 at 7pm four individuals will share their own unique personal histories of Hallowell through the long honored art and tradition of story telling.

Please join us at the Harlow Gallery at 160 Water Street in Hallowell as Katy Perry remembers how she got the “Hallowell Bug”, Ellen Gibson recalls an adventure on Litchfield Road hill in a soap box racer, Charles Dwyer shares his “coming home” story and Sam Shain tells tales of growing up in the Hallowell community.

The Harlow Gallery and community members have organized this event in hopes of inspiring a regular ongoing group of people interested in keeping the tradition of crafting and telling of stories alive and relevant. A sign-up list will be available at this event for people interested in participating in future story telling events.

Please join us  July 12th to not only celebrate the 250th Anniversary of Hallowell, but also the art and tradition of storytelling.

A special thank you to our Bank of Maine sponsors — ArtTalks in 2012 have been sponsored by The Bank of Maine; a local Maine business and long-time supporter of the Harlow Gallery – bank locally!
