ON VIEW: JUNE 21 – JULY 27 | OPENING: FRIDAY, JUNE 21, 5-7PM
The Harlow is kicking off summer with their annual Summer Members’ Show & Sale, featuring a diverse collection of work by Harlow artist members. For this year’s Summer Members’ Show, The Harlow has invited artists to submit work responding to the theme of “Striped.”
Come see what’s happening in your local creative community! Join us for the opening reception on Friday, June 21 from 5-7pm and meet the artists. The opening reception coincides with the opening for Tom Ferrero’s solo exhibition, The Spaces In Between, on view in the upstairs gallery June 21-July 27, 2019.
This exhibit is a unique opportunity to discover both emerging and established artists, working in a wide range of media and styles such as painting, drawing, printmaking, fiber art, photography, sculpture, fine craft and more. During the Summer Members Show & Sale, patrons may purchase art off the wall to take home the same day. Buy local and support the creative community; Gallery hours are Wednesday-Saturday 12-6pm.
The Harlow is a membership based 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to connecting and celebrating art, artists and community in downtown historic Hallowell since 1963. Exhibitions are always free and open to the public.
Striped is sponsored by Camden National Bank.
Programming is funded in part by the Maine Community Foundation, the Margaret E. Burnham Charitable Trust, and by a Partnership Grant from the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.
