KVAA volunteers mark your calendars! We will be honoring our amazing volunteers at a Volunteer Appreciation Party at the stately Benjamin Wales House B&B at 49 Middle Street in Hallowell. The party is scheduled for Wednesday, May 19th from 5:30-7:30 with appetizers, beverages and a few surprises. If you’ve volunteered in the past 12 months, consider yourself invited! Please RSVP by Friday May 14 by calling 622-3813 or emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Kennebec Valley Art Association would quite literally never have existed without volunteers. In fact until about ten years ago the gallery had been totally run by volunteers since the early 1960s. From basic filing to hanging exhibits to governing our 50 year old organization, there is no area of this organization that volunteers aren’t involved in.
“I’m so glad there is a place like the Harlow to learn how a gallery works from the inside out,” volunteer Becky York notes. “The crew and other volunteers are wonderful people to work with. It’s always an uplifting experience volunteering.”
We are always looking for more volunteers with new ideas, eyes and styles. Whatever your skill or schedule volunteers are always appreciated.
