Volunteer Opportunities at the Harlow Gallery
Are you interested in volunteering at the Harlow Gallery? We regularly reach out to volunteers to support gallery programs by assisting staff in many different areas.

Pickup and drop-off attendant– Assist staff in logging work dropped off or picked up for an exhibition. This may include handling art, checking artists in or out, and assisting staff as needed. This is a regular task that occurs roughly every 6 weeks, we are always looking for folks who can assist in this area. Often this falls on a Sunday or Monday afternoon or evening.
Assisting with mailings– On occasion we need help to label, stuff, and stamp correspondence.
Special events and openings– Greeting visitors, food prep, auction staff, helping things run smoothly, assisting staff as needed, clean up & more.
Gallery greeter– Assist staff during gallery hours by welcoming gallery patrons. This could include helping with clerical projects during down time if such projects are available.
Housekeeping– Help us keep the gallery a pleasant and welcoming environment. Sometime we have special sorting or organizing project that we could use an extra hand with.
Special Skills– Do you have a special skill that you would like to share with the gallery? Let us know! If a need arises we will know exactly who to contact!
Board of Directors– Consider serving on our Board of Directors. These individuals all serve on at least one committee and many are working on special projects as well. Their vision, energy and expertise are crucial to the continued growth of our organization and realization of our mission to connect and celebrate the arts, artists and community.
Serving on Committees–
Education Committee– This committee meets monthly to develop educational programming at the Harlow, including but not limited to Second Sunday.
Fundraising Committee– Do you have time to commit, and experience or interest in fundraising events, sponsorships or development? This committee meets monthly.
Exhibition Committee– This committee meets bi-annually to review exhibition proposals. Committee makes selections to fill open spots in the exhibition schedule.
Interns– We accept interns on a case by case basis depending on the currents needs of the gallery and the scope of upcoming projects. Interested in becoming an intern for the Harlow? Send us an email and attach your resume. We will let you know if we have a specific project that complements your professional development path and also fits the needs of the gallery.
