WIREWORKS! — drawing in space with wire

WIREWORKS!  a one session sculpture workshop.

On the evening of Thursday, February 26th from 6:30 to 9pm, join Winthrop sculptor Don Kerr at the Harlow Gallery in downtown Hallowell for a creative evening working with aluminum wire. You’ll earn the basic techniques for joining, bending, hammering/texturing wire for sculptures, and leave with a 2-D sculpture based on a drawing that you bring (your drawing should be a simple line drawing 8”x11” in size) or choose from a selection of line drawings that will be available if you need one for your project.

This workshop is limited to 10, so please register early by calling the Harlow Gallery at 622-3813!  Cost is $20 for KVAA members, $25 for non-members, plus a materials fee for wire $5 (all other tools will be provided by the instructor.) The fees are payable to the instructor on the night of the class. Don Kerr is a retired art teacher currently producing sculpture for sales and commissions.
