Young at Art: 10th year of celebrating art by area students in grades K-8

Young at Art 2013 is our 10th annual exhibition of children’s artwork, when area students in grades K -8 have their work on display in the professional setting of the Harlow Gallery. Each year we invite art teachers from elementary and middle schools from throughout the greater Augusta area to select their best student art to showcase in this wonderful celebration of talented young artists.

Please join us in celebrating the youngest artists in our community — families with children especially encouraged to attend.

Young at Art exhibitions celebrating March as Youth Art Month have been made possible by McKee Law of Augusta and by our season sponsors: Bank of Maine, Dead River Company, the City of Hallowell, Milestone Communications and by Kennebec Savings Bank. Please thank all our sponsors for supporting the arts and arts in education!

The exhibition, on view February 23 – March 9, 2013, is free and open to the public.

Two opening receptions will be held on Saturday February, 23rd:

noon – 2 pm for families and friends of artists in grades K-4

2-4 pm for families and friends of artists in grades 5-8

The receptions are free and open to the public, with light refreshments provided.
